Tiger Baseball

Tom, Steve, John, Danny and I went to Comerica Park in Detroit tonight to see the Tigers play Kansas City. The Tigers took an early lead (5-2 in the 3rd inning), then the Royals came back to tie it in the 9th and win it 9-7 in the 11th. Despite the disappointment, we had a great time. Supper was Ball Park hot dogs, Cracker Jack, and salted peanuts in the shell--good stuff. Tom bought the tickets--what a guy! Thanks Tom!

Pretty nice scoreboard above. Pretty scary main entrance below.
We had pretty nice seats along the left field line. A couple of foul balls came close to us and we saw four homers soar past. The first two by the Tigers, the last two by the Royals :-(

Hobo Breakfast

Our Australian loved ones might enjoy a couple of hobo breakfast pictures from UPBC boys camp back in July. Fond memories of summer in Michigan while those down under look for sunny days to come! It is hard to beat a hobo breakfast--eggs and bacon cooked on a hand-modified #10 can over a buddy burner paraffin flame, fresh white bread toasted in the bacon grease with salt, pepper and just a touch of grime from the last use of the hobo can. Mmmmmm!

First Blog

I would like my vision to be clear, but sometimes I see only through the fog. I walk by faith rather than sight, trusting God's promise that He has a plan that is good and bright beyond all imagining. One day, the fog will lift!
